Electrical Engineer

Continued growth and success have now generated a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be:

Working within our Project Team to assist with project Electrical Design and Construction
Develop designs for a range of building electrical services
Be involved in all stages of the design side of projects

Minimum Requirements.

Extensive relevant experience working on building services projects as an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer.
Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation.
Understanding and working knowledge of working within an engineering consultancy environment on building services projects.
Proven project experience working to Australian Standards.
Proficiency with industry software (MS Office, GroundPlan, Bluebeam, etc).
Experience working in electrical services design including lighting, general and specialty power, earthing/lighting protection, power distribution and reticulation.
Experience leading and running electrical engineering components of major projects.

Preferred Qualifications.

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree
Prior experience/understanding of CAD/Revit – highly advantageous but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Assist Estimator and Project Manager with D&C electrical engineering for estimating purposes and project variations.
Evaluate plans and progress to ensure compatibility with building regulations.
Create project commissioning programs.
Develop presentations.
Work with Project Team to meet project specifications and solve electrical design or operation problems.
Assist in drafting drawing to meet project requirements.
Documenting drawings.
Reviewing drawings for co-ordination with other building services.
Assisting in assembling sample documents and datasheets for projects.
Making design changes to drawings in consultation with design team.
Assisting with all aspects within the design of the project.
Assisting with relevant project administration based on site.
Submitting sample datasheets for approval.
Assisting with Electrical Compliance.

The successful candidate will be proficient in technical leadership, client interaction, team coordination, and quality electrical service designs.
